Kitchen Renovation in Jávea

At MG Villas Construcciones we carried out this comprehensive kitchen renovation in Jávea, renewing its installations, fittings and finishes to create a comfortable, functional space with personality.

Initial condition of the home

The project began with the dismantling and demolition of the existing kitchen, including the removal of units, worktops, appliances, and wall and floor coverings. This first phase allowed us to work on the original surfaces and prepare the space for the new kitchen.

Work carried out

We then carried out the masonry work needed to level the walls and floors, repair the surfaces and open the chases for the installations to run through — essential preparation for integrating the new connections and providing a suitable base for the finishes that followed. The renovation included a new plumbing installation, with water supply and drainage for the sink and dishwasher, along with the corresponding shut-off valves and connections. We also completely renewed the electrical installation, adding independent circuits for the kitchen appliances, sockets, switches and lighting points. The work was completed with the gas installation for the hob and the corresponding tightness tests. One of the main jobs was building the fixed kitchen furniture using masonry work, forming the storage units, the recesses for the appliances and the support for the worktop. This solution allows the structure to be adapted to the available space and integrates the different work areas into a coherent whole.

Materials and finishes

On this structure we built a masonry worktop finished in off-white microcement, with the necessary cut-outs for the sink and the hob, taking care over the joints, sealing and finishing details. The wall and structure covering work completed the renovation of the surfaces. The sink area features a new concrete sink and a polished chrome single-lever tap, a detail that adds warmth and character to the whole. The equipment was completed with the installation of the oven, gas hob, extractor hood and a stainless-steel dishwasher, all by Bosch. We also replaced the window with a white sliding window, incorporating this renewal into the overall kitchen project.

Result of the renovation

The work finished with a review of the installations, the final sealing and finishing details and a site clean-up, leaving the kitchen fully operational for everyday use.
